About Carpet & Upholstery Protector
The Carpet & Upholstery Protector works by soaking into each individual fibre, creating an invisible, hydrophobic coating. This repels all oil and water-based stains from carpets, upholstery and clothing without changing the look or feel of the material.
It also makes carpets, car seats and upholstery easier to clean and maintain - it holds dirt on the surface, preventing it from soaking into the fabric. This means when it comes to cleaning the material, the dirt and stains wipe off easily as the fabric protector spray keeps them on the surface.
Once applied, benefit from up to two years of stain protection.
The Carpet & Upholstery Protector works great on all fabrics, but as the name suggests it was specifically designed to protect carpet and upholstery.
Carpet Protector
It can be used on any type of carpet to provide stain and spill protection. Saturate the carpet with the Carpet Protector and leave to dry. For ease, protect the carpet on an evening so the carpet can dry overnight; when you wake in the morning your carpet will be protected from stains and spills.
Upholstery Protector
The Upholstery Protector is water-based and so safe to use around children and pets. Simply spray it onto any type of fabric upholstery to get instant stain and spill protection. Whenever you clean your upholstery you’ll need to re-apply the Upholstery Protector to re-establish a high level of protection.

Carpet & Upholstery Protector’s Coverage and Shelf Life
When protecting fabric you will need the following amounts of Carpet & Upholstery Protector:
Upholstery: 500ml is enough to fully protect anything up to a three-seater sofa
Carpets:500ml will cover roughly 20m².
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Store between 8°C and 30°C.
Once opened, use within 3 years.
Carpet Protector Instructions
STEP 1.
Vacuum the fabric thoroughly to remove all dirt and dust.
STEP 2.
If stained or dirty, use the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner first. After cleaning, allow to dry.
STEP 3.
Shake the Carpet & Upholstery Protector well. Spray onto the fabric and allow to dry. It is advised to spray high-use areas first and more generously.
You only need to spray enough carpet protector onto the fabric so that it dampens the surface.

Q. How often should I protect my Carpets and Upholstery?
A. We recommend re-applying the solution once every two years. Or, reapply it whenever the items are thoroughly cleaned.
Q. How do I protect my cream-coloured fabric sofa?
A. Firstly, the Protector works on all colours of fabric. From new you should use our Carpet & Upholstery Protector as soon as your sofa arrives. This will help against everyday staining. As it is a light colour, we recommend wiping it down once a week with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt and dust.
For an old or used sofa, you should first give the sofa a deep clean with our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to remove any dirt. If your fabric is stained, use one of our fabric stain removers. Once clean, apply our Carpet & Upholstery Protector. We recommend using our Carpet & Upholstery Care Kit.
Q. I have new fabric shoes – will this work on them too?
A. Yes. Our Carpet & Upholstery Protector will work on any fabric item. It will also protect canvas, textiles and all upholstery.
Q. Will the Carpet & Upholstery Protector alter the look or feel of my material?
A. No, not at all. Your item will slightly darken when it is applied as it dampens the material, however once dried it will not look any different. It will also not change the feel of any material.
Q. I have pets in my house, is it still safe to use?
A. Yes, it is completely safe to use around children and pets. Our Carpet & Upholstery Protector is water-based.
Q. What should I do if I spill coffee on my new protected item?
A. As the material has been protected, the coffee will not be able to penetrate the fabric. Using a clean, dry cloth, blot the coffee from the surface of the fabric to remove excess liquid.
You should then use our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to clean the area, removing any residue left – always blot the area, do not rub. Once dried from cleaning, reapply our Carpet & Upholstery Protector to this area.
Q. Will cleaning my sofa remove the Protector?
A. Cleaning your item with our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner will not remove the protection completely; however it may reduce its performance. This is why we recommend to reapply the Protector to any area that you clean. For regular maintenance (wiping it down with a damp cloth weekly) you do not need to reapply.
Q. Will it help stop staining from dark clothes and cushions onto a light-coloured fabric?
A. It will stop the dye from soaking into the fabric and staining, however you will still need to clean it off using our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner.
